Guest post: Making record time

Well, I've officially made a quilt top in two weeks of very casual working pace. I suspect much of the newly experienced construction accuracy and speed can be attributed to my own personal discovery of the assembly line. Hey, Henry Ford! I can see where you were going with that.
It is quilt top #6 for me, and I plan on tying it and binding it at some point in the near future. As it gets warmer it gets clearer that quilting isn't really a summer craft...so I'm going to try to wrap it up sooner rather than later. It's for my sister, who hopefully doesn't read this website...if she does and I'm a knob for this horse/cart behaviour...hi Sus! Check out your birthday present!

Oh my goodness, it's amazing. I love the mix of patterns and colours, particularly the blue damask print. I wish I could quilt!

Thanks Lydia! These fabrics all came together in a pack, and I agree...whoever put it together did a great job! These prints all really remind me of my sister...and I think the blue and pink damask ones will be her favourites too!

Doing the fabric selection and learning how to mix them well is something that I am learning slowly! It really takes experimentation and practice, so you know, baby steps!

I like this photo; it reminds me of the photography style at Orangette. Your feet look like they're a million miles away!
